About the Scholarship
The Flegenheimer Family Scholarship was started in 1998 to award Saginaw County students to help them financially and reach their academic goals.
The scholarship was initially started by Marjorie and Ernest Flegenheimer in recognition of the importance of education and the difference it can make in a person’s life. An individual can make use of this fund by paying for their tuition, fees, room, and transportation.
How to Apply for this Award?
A student must first complete the online application form that can be found on the official website of the organization with all the relevant documents.
An application must send a copy of their official transcripts of college or institution as well as scorecards of ACT/SAT to demonstrate their excellence in academics.
In addition to that, applicants are also nominated based on the essay hence applicant are required to write an essay and submit it before the mentioned date.
Additionally, a recipient must also submit a letter of recommendation from his/her professor.
Finally, a student must submit necessary documents and prove the need for financial assistance.
Scholarship Amount and Deadline
The scholarship award amount varies and is subject to change to each eligible applicant.
All the above-mentioned documents must be submitted by an applicant on or before 15th February to be eligible for the scholarship. A student is advised to keep track of the deadline and act according to the changes made.
An applicant must have a minimum GPA of 2.0 out of 4 to be eligible to apply for the scholarship.
To avail the scholarship benefits, a student must be a high school senior residing in the Saginaw County region.
The applicant must be pursuing an undergraduate or vocational degree at any accredited and recognized Michigan institution.
Candidates must be enrolled as a part-time or full-time student in any program.
