About the Scholarship

The award amount is recognized and is awarded by the NAMI Scholarship  Foundation. The foundation is seeking to recognize the best and brightest undergraduates majoring in Meat or Poultry Science, Animal Science or Culinary Arts and Science.

The Foundation wants to provide financial support to students to continue their studies and become the future of the meat industry. Scholarships are merit-based hence the students must be exceptional at academic performance as well as co-curricular activities.


How to Apply for this Scholarship?

  • The scholarship application is available on the official website, all applicants must complete and submit the online application form that can be accessed from the official website of NAMI.

  • In addition to that, all applicants must demonstrate their financial need to get the necessary financial assistance to receive the scholarship fund.

  • An applicant must also provide official transcripts of the college/institution that he/she is studying to make sure their scores are more than enough to receive the amount.

  • Also, an applicant must demonstrate their academic excellence by submitting the scorecards of the ACT/SAT exam.


Award Amount and Deadline

Only one deserving candidate every academic year will receive the scholarship fund. The scholarship award amounts to $5000 that can be utilized by a student to pay for their actual tuition, additional expenses, or room. 

All the necessary documents must be submitted to the concerned department on or before 30th May to be one of the eligible applicants.


Eligibility Criteria

  • An applicant must be a full-time undergraduate student.

  • To avail the scholarship benefits, an individual must maintain a minimum grade point average of 2.75 out of 4 to be eligible for the scholarship.

  • The applicant must have good academic standing and involvement in other co-curricular activities.

  • A candidate must be pursuing a career related program to the meat industry preferably in post-harvest production.
