About the Scholarship
The scholarship is awarded by the Georgia Student Finance Commission, an organization that helps students access higher education by providing grants, financial aid or student loan programs. This scholarship program provides assistance to residents of Georgia seeking degrees as full-time students at private eligible Postsecondary Institutions. The eligibility of the grant does not include academic merit or achievements, but it is awarded to citizens who choose to attend accredited private and independent colleges or universities within the state of Georgia.
How to apply for the scholarship?
The applicant must complete the TEG/HOPE application on the Georgia Student Finance Commission site.
The applicant should contact his/her institution for additional forms or applications to be submitted.
There is no fixed deadline date for applying.
How much the scholarship award amounts to?
The award amounts to $350 per semester and can receive payment for up to three semesters a year.
There is no fixed deadline date, as each participating college or university may set their own application deadline dates.
Students enrolled in a 5-year undergraduate degree program are eligible to receive an award for a maximum of 10 semesters or 15 quarters.
This program will provide funds for 100 percent of the number of credit hours required to complete a baccalaureate degree program, or until completion of a baccalaureate degree program, whichever comes first.
