About the Scholarship

FTE Fellowships for Latino/a, Asian and First Nations Doctoral Students scholarship program is giving financial support for doctoral students to pursue higher academic education. To accomplish this mission is by offering diverse young adults, students and partner organizations financial support and opportunities to develop leadership ability of the student in the church, economy and theological education.


How to Apply for this Scholarship?

  • In order to be the recipient of this scholarship, an applicant must fill and submit the scholarship application form which contains a student's general information.

  • As the scholarship assists the students on the basis of financial need. hence all applicants must demonstrate their financial assistance towards academic education.

  • To obtain this scholarship opportunity an applicant must demonstrate the academic merit that the student has achieved.

  • An applicant must give a one-paragraph biographical profile.

  • Two academic letters of reference one must be a letter from the applicant’s adviser and One community letter of reference.

  • In addition to that, he/she must provide curriculum vitae.

  • A student must write a three-page academic essay on the topic given by financial aid.

  • Additionally, an applicant must also submit the official transcript indicating he/she has enrolled in a Th.D. or Ph.D. program as a full-time student in religious, theological, or biblical studies.


Award Amount and Deadline:

The scholarship award amount varies based on the amount of funding available.

The Deadline date for this scholarship application is 1st February 2020. All official documents and scholarship application forms are postmarked by the given deadline


Eligibility Criteria

  • The applicant must be a citizen or permanent resident of U.S or Canada.

  • The applicant must be studying at a U.S. or Canada accredited academic institution.

  • The applicant must be a descendant of Latino/a, Asian-Pacific Islander or First Nations.

  • The applicant must be enrolled in a Th.D. or Ph.D. program in religious, theological, or biblical studies full-time student.

  • The applicant may not be enrolling to Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.) programs.
