The Garden Club Council of Winston-Salem and Forsyth County Scholarship is awarded by the Winston-Salem Foundation, a collaboration of institutions that provides charity to the society for their higher education.

The Garden Club Council of Winston-Salem and Forsyth County Scholarship is provided to the financially weak individuals, who're in desperate need of external assistance to pursue the higher education of their choice.

Eligibility Criteria

The applicants being considered for the Garden Club Council of Winston-Salem and Forsyth County Scholarship must:

  • be a U.S. citizen, accepted to an accredited  U.S. postsecondary school in North Carolina.
  • be in pursuit of an undergraduate associate's or baccalaureate degree (first-time degrees preferred).
  • have a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 or higher.
  • maintain part- or full-time enrollment (six or more credit hours per semester).
  • major in horticulture or landscape architecture.
  • reside in Forsyth County, North Carolina, or one of the other counties in The Winston-Salem Foundation's service area. The Foundation's service area includes Davie, Davidson, Forsyth, Surry, Stokes, Yadkin, and Wilkes counties.
