About the Scholarship
The Governor's 'Best and Brightest' Scholarship Program - Need-Based is awarded by the Montana University System to the students of Montana State Colleges who are having greater economic burden with respect to academic study. Governor's 'Best and Brightest' Scholarship Program - Need-Based is one of the scholarship categories in the Governor's 'Best and Brightest' Scholarship Program which assists economically to the applicants who are in financial need. In order to renew this scholarship award, an applicant needs to maintain good academic progress.
How to Apply for Scholarship?
An applicant needs to fill and submit the FAFSA form to demonstrate the financial need for their academic study.
In addition to that, an applicant needs to provide transcripts of EFC.
An applicant also needs to submit ACT/SAT grade cards to show their academic progress.
What is the Total Amount Provided?
An applicant receives $2000 to two-year or four-year graduate students annually, the awards are renewable only to the students who maintain academic progress.
The students need to apply for this scholarship before March 15. All applicants need to submit the necessary documents for scholarship before the mentioned deadline.
A student should be a resident of the State of Montana.
A student must enroll for full time at Montana postsecondary institution.
Scholarships based upon financial need have completed the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form to identify their financial need eligibility.
A student should obtain a high school GPA of at least 3.0 or a score of at least 20 on the ACT or 1440 on the SAT college admission test.
