About the Scholarship

The students residing in the Allegan, Barry, Kent, Montcalm, Muskegon, and Ottawa counties, pursuing a degree course with major in Literary Arts, are offered the Ladies Literary Club Scholarship program.

The scholarship program is awarded by the Grand Rapids Community Foundation, Michigan to provide financial assistance to students enrolled in an accredited university or college in the state of Michigan.

The students are awarded the scholarship based on their academic standing as well as the financial need demonstrated.

  • The scholarship amount and the number of awards available vary every year depending on the funding received by the organization and the number of applicants.

  • The scholarship amount is used to fund the educational expenses involved in pursuing higher education.

GRCF Ladies Literary Club Scholarship Application

The recipients of the scholarship program are selected based on the eligibility criteria set by the organization.

  • The different achievements and awards for academic and extracurricular activities received, and participation in community service by the students are taken into consideration.

  • The applicant must complete the application form available on the official website of the organization.

  • The academic transcript from recent semesters must be submitted along with the application form.

  • An essay based on the interests, goals, and achievements of the student must be submitted as well.

  • The applicant must complete the FAFSA procedures and submit it along with the family income information of the student.

  • The students must go through the instructions and guidelines given by the organization before applying for the scholarships.

GRCF Ladies Literary Club Scholarship Application Deadline

The application and required materials must be submitted to the scholarship of the organization by April 1st without fail.

No incomplete or late submission of applications will be considered.

Eligibility Criteria

  • The student must be a resident of Barry, Montcalm, Kent, Muskegon, Allegan or Ottawa counties in Michigan.

  • The student must be pursuing a major at any accredited Michigan institution in literary arts.

  • The student should have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or more.

  • The student should demonstrate financial need.
