About the Scholarship
The graduating senior students of Freeland High School are provided financial assistance based on need and academics in the form of the Harold & Bernadine Reiss Scholarship program by the Saginaw Community Foundation.
The scholarship award is available to students to fund the collegiate or vocational education. The recipients of the scholarship must be enrolled in an undergraduate degree program or Career and Technical Education (CTE) training at an accredited institution as part-time or full-time students.

The scholarship program is awarded to one female and one male student.
The scholarship amount varies every year depending on the funding received from the organization and the number of applicants per year.
The recipients of the scholarship are selected based on the eligibility criteria set by the organization.
Harold & Bernadine Reiss Scholarship Application
The organization awards scholarship to students based on their academic and extracurricular achievements, involvement in community service and leadership qualities.
The financial need of the applicant is taken into consideration as well.
The applicant must submit an essay based on the educational and career goals of the student.

Harold & Bernadine Reiss Scholarship Application Deadline
The high school students must submit the application for the scholarship program before 15th February without fail. Any application received past the deadline will be disqualified.
The applicant must be a high school senior.
The applicant must be enrolled in a college full time or part-time.
Two scholarships are given annually to a male and a female.
The applicant should have a GPA of 2.0 on a scale of 4.0.
