About the Scholarship

Hilton Worldwide Tribal College Hospitality Scholarship is licensed by American Indian College Fund. The foundation was established in the year 1989 and it is the largest charity supporting Native student access to higher education. 

We provide scholarships, programming to improve Native American student access to higher education, and the support and tools for them to succeed once they are there.

The Hilton Worldwide Tribal College Hospitality Scholarship is available to Native American / Alaska Native undergraduate students who are enrolled full - time at a tribal college or university in Minnesota. 

How to apply for this scholarship?

  • Applicants must upload a digital photo that is required to be shared with the donors so ensure it looks professional. 

  • Students must Upload a copy of your proof of tribal enrollment (ID or CIB) or descendency by submitting your parent’s or grandparent’s proof of tribal enrollment along with your birth certificates that prove descendancy.

  • Candidates are required to submit their current official transcripts to meet eligibility.

  • The understudies applying for this award must present a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) application.

  • Recipients strongly encouraged to apply for internship openings with Hilton Worldwide.

  • This scholarship award provides $1000 which is non-renewable.

  • The total number of awards offered by this scholarship program varies based on the availability of funds and students meeting their requirements.

Deadline info

The applications are to be presented before the end of May 31, 2020. Understudies are informed to present their grant application, and other requirements are to be submitted before the due date. Applications and other data are accessible online on the American Indian College Fund website.

Eligibility Criteria

  • The applicant must be a U.S. citizen or Canadian eligible to attend college under provisions of the Jay Treaty in the U.S.

  • The applicant must be enrolled at an accredited tribal, public, or private not-for-profit college or university in a certificate, associate, bachelor’s, or graduate program.

  • The applicant must be enrolled as a full-time student.

  • The applicant must be a registered federal or state recognized tribe member or a descendant of at least one grandparent or parent who is an enrolled tribal member.
