About the Scholarship

Hirsch Family Scholarship is recognized and is sponsored by The Dallas Foundation. The foundation was established in the year 1929 with a purpose to help donors create charitable funds that reflect their interests and provide nonprofits with resources they need to serve the community. The foundation acts as a link between donors and the community and causes they care about.

The Hirsch Family Scholarship was established as a scholarship fund in the year 2009. It is currently benefitting dependent children of active employees of Eagle Materials, Highlander Partners, Ascend, Lund, JuiceTyme, Profile Custom Extrusions, Versatex Trimboard, or any of their majority-owned subsidiaries.

What is the application procedure?

  • The applications must be submitted by filling the forms online that can be found on the official website of the organization.

  • Candidates must demonstrate a need for financial assistance and be exceptional at their academics to meet eligibility criteria.

  • Applicants must show interest or indulge in extracurricular activities, community service, and work experience.

  • The candidates are must present their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) application form to determine his/her family's financial position to pay for their education.

Scholarship Award Amount

  • This scholarship award ranges from $2500 to $10000 which is non-renewable and funds may be used for paying tuition, fees, room, and board.

  • The total number of awards offered by this scholarship varies every academic year depending on the availability of funds total number of students applying for the scholarship.

Deadline Information

The applications are to be presented to the concerned department on or before the end of April 15, 2020. Students are advised to send all the necessary documents to the concerned department before the deadline as any form sent post-April will be disqualified.

Eligibility Criteria

  • An applicant must be an eligible non-citizen or a permanent resident of the United States.

  • A candidate must be an undergraduate student enrolled as a full-time student.

  • A student must be the dependent child of an active employee of Eagle Materials, Performance Chemicals, and Ingredients, the Composites Group, Custom Winder System, Ascend, Lund, JuiceTyme, Highlander Partners or any of their majority-owned subsidiaries.
