About the Scholarship

It is anticipated that Korean scholars will utilize their knowledge to enhance the viability of the South Korean economy through the expansion of educational technology in the fields of international business, international banking, computer science, information technology, research and development, and related fields. The program is also designed to interest American scholars in Korea and to further the bilateral cultural, economic, and political exchanges between the United States and the Republic of Korea.


How to Apply for this Scholarship?

  • All applicants must complete the online scholarship application form, which is available on the official website.

  • All students must demonstrate the financial need by completing the FAFSA application form and submit it to the financial aid before the given deadline date.

  • In addition to that, all candidates are required to provide a copy of the college or institution's transcript.

  • Also, he/she must show academic excellence by submitting the scorecards of the ACT/SAT.

  • Additionally, recipients must submit a letter of reference from his or her faculty member.


Award Amount and Deadline:

Each eligible applicant will get $10,000 for a part-time study and $20,000 for full-time study per academic year.

The deadline date for this scholarship is 5th March 2019. All applicants must apply for this scholarship on or before the fixed deadline date.

 


Eligibility Criteria

  • The scholarship is available to both U.S. and South Korean citizens.

  • The applicant must be pursuing a master's or Ph.D. program at GWU in the School of Engineering and Applied Science or the School of Business.

  • All recipients must demonstrate high scholastic achievement by maintaining required academic averages for their programs of studies. Incoming Korean students must have minimum TOEFL scores of 600 on the written test or 105 on the internet-based exam, or an IELTS overall band score of 7.0
