About the Scholarship
The scholarship is awarded by the National Council of Jewish Women - Los Angeles Section (NCJW/LA), founded by women who were committed to bringing about social and political change to improve the quality for women, children, and families. They've always been a powerful catalyst for social change. This award is given to women or men enrolled or accepted to a degree program in nursing. Applicants are also eligible for the June Miller Nursing Education Scholarship.
How to apply for the scholarship?
The applicant should complete the application which can be found on the National Council of Jewish Women site. It is also important that a student fill and submit a FAFSA application form to determine their financial position and the scholarships they are eligible for.
Each application can be used to apply for up to two awards.
Along with the application, the applicant should also submit an essay and a personal statement.
Additionally, a recipient must submit their official academic transcripts and two recommendation letters before the deadline.
Award Amount and Deadline
The award amounts to $2,000 for 2 deserving students per year and is non-renewable.
All the required must be submitted to the institution by a student on or before November 01, 2019. Any applications submitted later than the date fixed will be rejected.
The applicant must be an undergraduate student or graduate student.
Applicants must attend a university or a four-year college.
The applicant must be a US citizen. who is enrolled in a part-time or a full-time program.
To be eligible for the scholarship, a student must be pursuing their degree in the nursing major.
