About the Scholarship

Iowa UMF Westmar Trust Scholarship

The Iowa United Methodist Foundation is a beneficent not-profit corporation that has been serving churches. they also provide trust funds and estate gifts made by individuals for charitable purposes.

The requirement of application -

  • Applicant must be attending a United Methodist-affiliated college in Iowa.

  • students must show some certificate that he/she is active in high school or college activities.

All applications and required documentation must be completed online if students send documents by mail or email application cannot accept.

Eligibility Criteria

  • The scholarship is awarded to the students who are attending or planning to attend a United Methodist affiliated college in Iowa.

  • The applicant must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 for high school students and 2.5 for a college students.

  • The applicant must submit grade transcript, proof of ACT and/or SAT test scores, Financial Need Analysis, or FAFSA/IRS Tax return.

  • The applicant must submit three letters of recommendation from the Pastor, School Advisor/Counselor, Community Leader outside the local church, i.e. employer, teacher, etc.

  • The applicant must show evidence that he/she is active in high school or college activities.
