About the Scholarship

The high school students who belong to the Catholic faith and/ or are of Italian descent are awarded scholarship programs by the Italian Catholic Federation.

The Italian Catholic Federation First Year Scholarship program is available to students who reside within the Roman Catholic Dioceses of Arizona, California, Nevada, and Illinois.

The recipients of the scholarship are selected by the Central Council members of the organization and the scholarship committee on the basis of certain eligibility criteria and the application inclusive of all the necessary documents.


Italian Catholic Federation First Year Scholarship Awards

  • The first year students who are eligible for the scholarship receive an amount of $400.

  • The scholarship committee awards over 200 eligible students.

  • The first year scholarship winners are eligible for scholarship programs in the second, third, and fourth years.

  • The scholarship amounts for the rest three years are $500, $600 and $1000 respectively.


Italian Catholic Federation First Year Scholarship Application

  • The students are selected based on academic and extracurricular achievements, participation in community service and leadership qualities.

  • The scholarship is awarded on the basis of the financial need of the applicants.

  • The application form available on the official website of the organization is to be completed by the students with accurate details and other requirements.

  • The applicant must have good academic standing.


Italian Catholic Federation First Year Scholarship Application Deadline

The applications for the scholarship program must be mailed to the I.C.F. Central Council Office by March 15th without fail.

Any applications that are submitted late or incomplete will be disqualified.


Eligibility Criteria

  • The applicant must be a Roman Catholic.

  • The applicant must be of Italian Descent.

  • The applicant must be a resident where Branches of the Federation are established like Roman Catholic Dioceses of Arizona, California, Illinois or Nevada, only.

  • The applicant must have a minimum GPA of 3.2.

  • The applicant should have a parent, guardian or grandparent who is a member of the Italian Catholic Federation.
