About the Scholarship

The Cooke Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship is a highly selective scholarship for the nation’s top community college students who seek to complete their bachelor’s degrees at accredited 4-year colleges or universities. Each Cooke Scholar will get financial support for two to three years, to pursue any area of graduate study. A candidate for this scholarship is nominated based on high academic achievement, financial need, leadership ability, community involvement.

How to Apply?

  • In order to access the scholarship award, You must create an online account with a username and password that will help to access the online scholarship application form. A student must fill that scholarship application form to be considered for this award.

  • A candidate must demonstrate unmet financial need for the purpose of academic education. And must also determine the leadership ability and community-service involvement.

  • Additionally, a student must demonstrate high academic records through the submission of official transcripts of ACT/SAT scorecards.

  • Finally, he/she must give a letter of recommendation from a faculty member.

Award Amount and Deadline:

The scholarship award amount is $40000 available to qualified candidates per academic year. 

The deadline date for this scholarship application is 20th November 2019.

Eligibility Criteria

  • The applicant must be a sophomore student in an accredited community college or a 2-year institution or currently a graduate.

  • The applicant must be planning to enroll in an accredited university or college for a baccalaureate program as a full-time student.

  • The applicant must have a family income of $95,000.

  • The applicant must not have been enrolled in a four-year institution before.

  • The applicant must have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or better.

  • The applicant must demonstrate a financial need.

  • The applicant must be eligible to receive a Pell Grant.
