About the Scholarship

James Gaertner and Anne Marks-Gaertner Fine Arts Scholarship is recognized and is produced by the Saginaw Community Foundation. The establishment was set up in the year 1984 to improve the quality of life in Saginaw County by connecting donor interests with the community's most pressing needs and promising chances. 

James Gaertner and Anne Marks-Gaertner Fine Arts Scholarship was begun to honor their marriage they made the Fine Arts Scholarship to perceive the abilities of understudies at Nouvel Catholic Central High School.

How to apply for this scholarship?

  • Candidates are required to demonstrate their need for financial assistance and involvement in community services.

  • Students must show interest in majors related to Fine Arts.

  • Applicants must submit an essay on the topic described in an application form.

  • The understudies applying for this award must present a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) application form that is used to generate SAR and determine the financial position of a student's family to pay for education.

  • This scholarship award varies every academic year based on the availability of funds.

  • The awards are non-renewable and the total number of awards offered by this scholarship varies depending on the total number of application received.

Deadline Information

All the above-mentioned documents along with the application forms must be sent to the respective department on or before February 15, 2020, to be eligible to receive the scholarship amount. Any application form sent post mentioned date will be disqualified.

Eligibility Criteria

  • An applicant must maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.8 or better out of 4 to avail the scholarship benefits.

  • A student must be a senior graduate from Nouvel Catholic Central High School.

  • Candidates must have taken part in fine arts at Nouvel Catholic Central High School.

  • To be eligible for the scholarship, a recipient must be enrolled to pursue an undergraduate degree as a full-time student.

  • Students must be pursuing 6 credit hours of Fine Arts classes the least in the first year of postsecondary education.
