About the Scholarship

James M. & Erma T. Freemont Scholarship Program through generous donations, the Foundation is able to provide scholarships to outstanding students, named as "Freemont Scholars". The Foundation finds most outstanding individuals to receive these awards. The Foundation awards Freemont scholarships to graduating high school seniors, undergraduate and graduate students with a good record of leadership and community involvement and participation in extracurricular school activities.


How to Apply for this Award?

  • To be considered for this scholarship award, all applicants must type the application form and send it to the financial aid department of their college or institution.

  • The scholarship applicant must have proof of a letter from his/her guidance or counselor's clarification that an applicant is fit for this scholarship program.

  • Applicant must submit two letters of recommendation, one must be from a high school teacher, counselor, or principal and another one from a local community member or officer of an organization.

  • An applicant must submit the most recent official transcript of his/her college or institution.


Award Amount and Deadline:

The Organization is awarding to many applicants and it is non-renewable.

The scholarship deadline is fixed on 31st January 2020. Hence all highschool, U.G, graduate students must apply to this scholarship no later than the mentioned date.

 


Eligibility Criteria

  • The applicant must be a U.S. citizen to receive this fund.

  • The applicant must be a high school senior graduate.

  • The applicant must be either an undergraduate student or a graduate student.

  • The applicant must have a record of volunteerism and leadership qualities in non-school sponsored events.

  • The applicant must be enrolled in or planning to enroll in an HBCU.

  • A student should also maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 to apply for this award.
