About the Scholarship

Jay Cutler Athletic Scholarship is licensed by the Diabetes Scholars Foundation. The foundation was established in 2008, the main aim of this foundation is at empowering success through education for people living with type 1 diabetes.


What are the basic procedures while applying for this grant?

  • The students applying for this grant must submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) application.

  • Candidates must demonstrate academic performance and financial need.

  • Applicants must indulge in involvement in the diabetes community and involvement in extra-curricular activities.


Jay Cutler Athletic Scholarship award amounts to

  • This scholarship provides $5000 each year whicih is non-renewable.

  • The total number of awards offered by this scholarship is limited to one candidate each year depending on the availability of funds.


Deadline information

The applications are to be presented before the end of April 15, 2020. Understudies are informed to present their grant application and other requirements are to be submitted before the due date. Applications and other data are accessible online on the Diabetes Scholars Foundation site.


Eligibility Criteria

  • The applicant should be a citizen of U.S.

  • The applicant must be pursuing higher education at a 4-year institution, technical or trade school.

  • The applicant must have type 1 diabetes.

  • The applicant must be playing a competitive sport in college.
