About the Scholarship

This scholarship is established by Kyungsook Petrahai in memory of her husband in 1923. This is provided by the Connecticut Community Foundation. This Scholarship provides to those students who are attending public colleges in Connecticut.

How to apply for the Scholarship?

The applicant has to apply through online on their official website.

The applicant has to submit his/her academic scorecard.

The applicant has to submit his/her FAFSA card.

The applicant has to submit his/her recommendation letter.

The applicant has to submit the college attending transcript.

The applicant has to submit an essay about ownself.

Award amount of the scholarship:

The awarded amount for this scholarship is $2000 per year.

This award is non-renewable.

The number of awards given to the applicant varies.

Deadline for the scholarship:

The deadline for this scholarship is the 15th of March.

Eligibility Criteria

  • An applicant must be a citizen of the United States or an eligible non-US citizen.

  • A student must have a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or above out of 4 to be eligible for the scholarship.

  • A recipient must be a high school senior or a freshman entering the college.
