About the Scholarship
The Juanita Buchanan Undergraduate Academic Scholarship is in memory of a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Kappa Zeta Chapter. The Kappa Zeta chapter elected to set up a scholarship fund for college students to undergo higher academic studies.
The scholarship is to be awarded to a high school senior receiving dual college credit or an undergraduate matriculating at an accredited Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex college or university. In order to be the eligible applicants, you must be involved in community activities or services.
How to Apply for this Award?
To apply for this scholarship, you must complete the online scholarship application form which is available on the official website.
You must submit the official high school transcript with rank and ACT/SAT GPA scorecards to determine academic excellence.
Additionally, you must give two letters of recommendation, one letter from a High School Teacher/Administrator/Counselor.
- Another letter of recommendation from Community Leader or Volunteer Agency Representative.
In addition to that, you must write an essay in 500 words or less based on your future profession, how do you plan on impacting the world?
Award Amount and Deadline:
You will receive $1500 annually through this scholarship fund.
The deadline date for this scholarship is 28th February 2020. Hence you must submit all official documents and scholarship related transcripts before the given deadline date.
The applicant must be a high school senior receiving dual college credit or an undergraduate matriculating at an accredited Dallas or Fort Worth metroplex university or college.
The applicant must have a minimum cumulative 2.85 GPA.
The applicant must be involved in community service and/or organized campus activities.
