About the Scholarship
Karen George Chicago Speech Therapy Scholarship is sponsored by the Chicago Speech Therapy organization. The scholarship is awarded to the students who are aiming to be a speech-language pathologist.
The students are selected for the scholarship based on their interest in helping children, basic personality, clinical skills, and financial need.
Karen George Chicago Speech Therapy Scholarship Award
The scholarship award sums up to $2500. This amount can be used to pay the tuition and fees and other college costs.
Karen George Chicago Speech Therapy Scholarship Application
The applicant must be enrolled in a graduate school to pursue a career as a speech-language pathologist.
The applicant must be the permanent resident and attending a school in the states of Wisconsin, Nebraska, Minnesota, Kansas, Iowa Illinois, Ohio, Michigan, Indiana or Missouri.
The applicant must be determined to work with the children’s section in a private practice set-up.
The applicant must complete the details correctly and submit the application form on time.
Karen George Chicago Speech Therapy Scholarship Application Deadline
The application form and related documents must be submitted to the scholarship committee of the organization before 1st May. Any application received after the deadline is considered invalid.
Accepted and currently enrolled in a graduate program for speech-language pathology
Has a clear passion to work with children post-graduation
Demonstrates the desire to work in private practice in lieu of a school or hospital
Is from the Midwest or is attending school in the Midwest (Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Ohio, and Wisconsin)
- Has a permanent address in one of these midwest states: Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Ohio, or Wisconsin.
