About the Scholarship

Kenneth Hugh MacDonald Sr., Broadcasting Scholarship is accredited by the Saginaw Community Foundation. The foundation was established in the year 1984 to fulfilling the charitable dreams of our donors and creating a strong and vibrant community for all people in Saginaw County.

Kenneth Hugh MacDonald Sr., Broadcasting Scholarship to help students of Bay, Clinton, Eaton, Genesee, Huron, Ingham, Lapeer, Midland, Saginaw, Sanilac, Shiawassee or Tuscola County achieve a degree in the broadcasting field. This scholarship will give priority to a student entering a broadcast field in radio.


What are the requirements needed while applying for this scholarship?

  • The understudies applying for this award must present a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) application.

  • Students must demonstrate financial need while applying for this scholarship.

  • Applicants must demonstrate financial need and broadcasting skills.

  • Candidates must demonstrate overall involvement at work, school and community activities.

Deadline info

Eligibility Criteria

  • The applicant must be a graduating high school senior or current college student from one of the following counties: Bay, Clinton, Eaton, Genesee, Huron, Ingham, Lapeer, Midland, Saginaw, Sanilac, Shiawassee or Tuscola.

  • The applicant must be pursuing undergraduate studies in a broadcast related field.

  • The applicant must have a full-time enrollment.
