About the Scholarship
Lahrmer Family Scholarship Fund was established by the Community Foundation of Shelby County to assist the students of Botkins High School who is senior and pursuing a two- or four-year degree at an accredited college or university in the upcoming academic year. The recipients for this scholarship are selected based on academic eligibility, demonstrated community service and community involvement.
How to Apply?
In order to be part of this scholarship fund, an applicant must complete the online application form, which is available on the official website.
All applicants must fill and submit the FAFSA application form which demonstrates financial need by establishing the Expected Family Contribution.
A student must include any awards, honors, offices or promotions that he/she has received.
In addition to that, an applicant must include a letter of recommendation and an official transcript of the current high school where he/she is studying in.
A student must write a personal statement on the topic: Tell why you chose your college, major and future career. Give examples of experiences related to your chosen major or career that show you understand what the coursework or job will entail. Talk about any personal obstacles and how you have overcome them.
Award Amount and Deadline:
The organization is paying $1000 to one eligible candidate per academic year.
The deadline date for this scholarship is 13th February 2020. All applicants must apply for this scholarship on or before the given deadline date.
The applicant must be a Botkins High School senior.
The applicant should enroll at an accredited institution for a two-year or four-year degree.
The applicant is selected based on the academic ability, demonstrated community and school service and recommendations.
