About the Scholarship

The Arizona Leveraging Educational Assistance Partnership (AzLEAP) program provides economical assistance to the citizens of Arizona to assist them economically to overcome the economical burden in order to pursue high academic studies or post-secondary studies.

This scholarship program is need-based hence the applicants who are in a great need of money with respect to their higher academic education can access this grant. Post-secondary students must be involved in community activities to access this opportunity.

How to apply for this scholarship?

  • To be selected for this scholarship an applicant must demonstrate their financial status by filling up the FAFSA application form. The FAFSA must clearly notify that an applicant is having low-income with respect to pursuing higher education.

  • In addition to that, a student must show their academic excellence by submitting the official transcripts and ACT/SAT grade cards.

  • Each Recipient is selected by the Arizona state participating institutions on the basis of the student's financial need established through the federal methodology and financial aid rules.

Award Amount and Deadline

AzLEAP award ranges from $1000 to $2,500 per academic year. Renewability is depended on the institutions that are participating in this program. The number of awards may vary from one institution to another depending on the availability of funds.

The scholarship deadline is fixed by each participating institution on their own. Students must need to contact their institution's financial aid department to get to know about their last date for submission of their scholarship application.

Eligibility Criteria

  • The applicant must be an undergraduate student or graduate student.

  • Applicant must attend a university, a four-year college, two-year college or a vocational-tech school.

  • An applicant must be a resident of Arizona.

  • A student must have a greater economical need as determined by FAFSA.

  • Applicant's both full-time and part-time students are eligible.

  • Applicants must have satisfactory academic progress in order to receive this fund.
