About the Scholarship
LNESC Scholarship Program is sponsored by NBCUniversal and it is administered by the LULAC National Educational Service Centers (LNESC). The main motive behind this scholarship is to assist and encourage outstanding undergraduate Latino students attending a U.S. post-secondary institution with an interest in the media and entertainment industry.
The funds will be allocated toward the payment of tuition and academic fees, and the purchase of required educational materials and books.
How to Apply for Scholarship?
To apply for this scholarship, you must complete the online scholarship application form which is available on the official website.
You must submit the official high school transcript with rank and ACT/SAT GPA scorecards to determine academic excellence.
Additionally, you must give three letters of recommendation from a High School Teacher/Administrator/Counselor. That must include a complete telephone number and email address for each reference.
Award Amount and Deadline:
The Program awards $5,000 national scholarships to ten qualified rising sophomores and juniors per academic year.
You must apply for this scholarship before July 22, 2020. During the submission of a scholarship application, please make sure that all the above-specified documents should be submitted before the deadline date.
The applicant must be a resident of California, Florida, Missouri, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, or Texas.
The applicant must be enrolled full-time in an accredited college or university and in good standing.
The applicant must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale or the equivalent.
An applicant must be at least 18 years of age or older.
A student must have an interest in the media and entertainment industry. All majors are eligible to receive this award.
