About the Scholarship

The Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA), awards a limited number of scholarships to qualified students to help them to overcome the costs of pursuing a degree in Construction Management or a related degree program.  There are two scholarships being awarded this year. Applicants must be enrolled in a construction management degree program, or another CM-related degree program, and show a strong interest in a career in CM, as demonstrated by the organization.


How to Apply for Scholarship?

  • The applicants who are applying for this scholarship program are requested to complete the online scholarship application, to begin in this award process.

  • In addition to that, applicants must submit the official transcripts of his or her college or institution to determine where they are studying in.

  • Also, the candidate should provide an academic scorecard of the ACT/SAT to demonstrate academic performance.

  • He/She must give a letter of recommendation from his or her faculty member.

  • Finally, All applicants are required to write an essay on the subject given in the scholarship application.


Award Amount and Deadline:

The scholarship award amount is $2000 to $3500 given to two qualified candidates per academic year. The first award winner will get $3500 and the second award winner will get $ 2000.

The scholarship deadline is fixed on March 1st, 2019. Hence all scholarship applications and official transcripts must be submitted to the concerned financial department on or before the given deadline.


Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidate must reside or attend a college/university in PA (zip greater than 17000), NJ (zip greater than 08000), and DE.

  • Candidate  must have completed a minimum of one full academic year of college-level studies and have a minimum of one full academic year remaining prior to completing the degree being pursued and must be enrolled in a Construction Management degree program, or other CM-related degree program, and show a strong interest in a career in CM, as demonstrated by a response to the essay question in the application package.
