About the Scholarship
The Maine Grocers and Food Producers Association provides scholarship programs to high school graduates who are pursuing higher education in the State of Maine.
MGFPA Scholarship program is awarded based on the academic merit, participation in community and school activities, financial need and the career goals of the students.
Preference is given to those students who are enrolled in or planning to enroll in study programs related to the field of business and food industry.
Maine Grocers and Food Producers Association Scholarship Awards
The association provides a scholarship worth $1000 to 3 eligible high school or college students every year.
The scholarship is available to the children of employees or the owner of MGFPA member companies.
The applicant must be a part-time or full-time employee of MGFPA member companies for at least 6 months prior to the application.
The applicant must be enrolled as a full-time student in an accredited university or college in the state of Maine.
Maine Grocers and Food Producers Association Scholarship Application Requirements
The application must consist of important documents along with the application form available on the official website of the association, such as follows:
Copy of high school or college transcript or home school certification.
A letter of acceptance from the educational institution for high school students.
A letter of recommendation letter from a recent employer, counselor or advisor.
The application must be typed and not handwritten.
Maine Grocers and Food Producers Association Scholarship Application Deadline
The application and other documents must be submitted through email by 17th May 20. Any application received after the deadline is not considered.
The scholarship is for the children of parents whose companies are MGFPA members.
The applicant must be student employees at companies that are members of MGFPA.
