About the Scholarship

Massachusetts Office of Student Financial Assistance sponsors Massachusetts Cash Grant Program. The Cash Grant Program is a Need-Based Tuition Grant Program, which helps students who are in financial need by covering their external expenses such as tuition fees and out of state-supported tuition. The Cash Grant is utilized in campus-based financial aid packaging techniques to help individuals who might some way or another be denied the opportunity for advanced study.


How to apply for the Massachusetts Cash Grant Program award?

  • Students applying for this scholarship must have been completed their FAFSA application form to receive this grant.

  • Contact your financial aid office for application requirements and deadlines. You may also call the DHE’s Office of Student Financial Assistance at (617) 391-6070 for additional information.

  • Not be in default of any federal or state Student Loans for attendance at any institution or owe a refund for any previous financial aid received

  • This scholarship provides around $9850, awards are for up to the cost of institutional tuition and fees.

  • The applicant must be an undergraduate student.

  • Applicant must attend a university, a four-year college or two-year college.

  • The applicant must be a US citizen.

  • Applicants of both full-time and part-time students.
