About the Scholarship

Mike And Flo Novoesky Scholarship is recognized and is sponsored by the American Floral Endowment. A charitable organization under Section 501(c)(3) that provides financial assistance to research and scholarships in floriculture and environmental horticulture for the benefit of growers, wholesalers, retailers, allied industry organizations and the general public.

Mike And Flo Novoesky Scholarship fund aims to help young married students who are working to put themselves through college. The main motive behind the scholarship is that a student shouldn't stop their education because of the financial burden. 


Application Process

  • Students must have to complete the online application form with all the relevant documents and submit them well before the deadline.

  • Two letters of recommendation are to be submitted, one from a teacher evaluating the applicant as a student and one from an employer evaluating him/her as a worker.

  • A current official transcript from the applicant's most recent school is to be submitted to demonstrate their excellence in academics.

  • The understudies applying for this award must present a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) application to determine the financial position of a student.


Scholarship Award

  • This scholarship award amounts to $2400 annually which is non-renewable, the awards are issued in the cash form to a student.

  • The total number of awards offered by this scholarship is limited to only one deserving candidate each academic year.


Deadline Information

All the above-mentioned documents must be submitted to the financial aid department of the organization on or before May 1, 2020. A student is advised to keep track of the deadline and submit in advance.


Eligibility Criteria

  • An applicant must be a married student residing in the United States.

  • A student must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or better out of 4 to be eligible for the scholarship.

  • A recipient must be pursuing an undergraduate degree at an accredited university or college.

  • To be eligible for the scholarship, a candidate must demonstrate need for financial assistance.
