About the Scholarship

Mildred C. Hanson SIOR Memorial Scholarship is licensed by the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR) Foundation. The SIOR Foundation is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization was established in the year 1939 whose mission is to promote and
support initiatives that expand, educate, and enhance the commercial real estate community.

The Mildred C. (Millie) Hanson, SIOR Memorial Fund, which was established to honor and support women in commercial real estate.


What are the requirements needed while applying for this scholarship?

  • Applicants must have been completed and signed the application form.

  • A statement of the proposed program of study signed by the Dean or Faculty Advisor or an authorized official of the College or University in which your study is to be completed.

  • Students must submit their official copies of transcripts of all your University course records certified by the Registrar

    or other authorized official.

  • Two-letter of recommendation is to be submitted, one from REALTOR® or SIOR

  • Applicants are required to demonstrate financial need to meet the credentials.

  • The candidates are educated to present their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) application to get this award.


Mildred C. Hanson SIOR Memorial Scholarship award amounts to

  • This scholarship provides $4,000 in funds to a qualified rising junior or senior female student, the awards are non-renewable.

Deadline info

Eligibility Criteria

  • The applicant must be the U.S. or Canadian citizen.

  • The applicant must be enrolled to pursue an undergraduate degree in relation to a commercial real estate in an accredited four-year university or college in the U.S. or Canada.

  • The applicant must be a junior or above.

  • The applicant must have a good academic standing and high cumulative GPA.

  • The applicant must demonstrate a financial need.
