About the Scholarship

Minnesota Masonic Charities Legacy Scholarship is accredited by Minnesota Masonic Charities. The organization is a 501(c)(3), nonprofit organization which was started in the year 1920, it provides important services and contributes to many charitable causes in the name of Minnesota Masonry. Legacy Scholarships are provided each year to students graduating from a Minnesota high school.


What are the application requirements needed to apply for this scholarship?

  • The students applying for this scholarship must have been completed their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) application to receive this award.

  • An official high school transcript (may download from the school website or have the school send to the Scholarships email address)

  • The candidates submit their ACT/SAT scorecards.

  • Applicants must provide their Resume along with their short essays describing their interests.

  • A Letter of Recommendation is mandatory and must be submitted by the candidates applying for this grant.


Minnesota Masonic Charities Legacy Scholarship award amounts to

  • This scholarship provides $4000 each year for up to 4 years that amounts to $16000.

  • The awards are renewable and the total number of awards is limited to 10 candidates each year.


Deadline information

The applications are to be submitted by the end of March 01, 2020. Students are informed to submit their scholarship application and other requirements are to be submitted before the due date. Applications and other information are available online on the  Minnesota Masonic Charities website.


Eligibility Criteria

  • The applicant must be a Minnesota high school student.

  • The student should have a GPA of 3.6 to 3.89.

  • The applicant must have scored 25 or more for the ACT and 1200 or more for SAT.

  • The applicant must be enrolled for a 4-year program.

  • All scholarship applicants must be a citizen or permanent legal resident of the United States.
