About the Scholarship

The National Wild Turkey Federation Scholarship encourages the conservation of wild turkey and the preservation of our hunting heritage. The NWTF is funded in the year 1973. The NWTF started this fund because day today we are losing 600 acres of habitat, and we are at the point where the American population hunts are reduced 10 percent so the funding source is going away. The NWTF is a leading federation to solve this problem with the Save the Habitat, Save the Hunt. NWTF is making a difference for wildlife, wild places, and our hunting lifestyle by funding this scholarship. The award amount can be used to student's academic purposes like books, fees, and housing.
