About the Scholarship

The UNCF is composed of the National Black McDonald's Owners Association and McDonald's USA which awards the scholarship to African American students who are interested in Hospitality Management, restaurant, or marketing. The applicant must have the interest to pursue their graduate degree in restaurant/hotel or hospitality management, accounting, business or marketing as full-time students at an accredited Historically Black College or University (HBCU).

The applicants who are dependents of McDonalds Executives or NBMOA owners are not eligible to receive this scholarship opportunity. To apply for this scholarship an applicant must be a college freshman, sophomore, or junior.


How to apply for this scholarship?

In order to apply for a scholarship, an applicant must fill in the application form that can be found on the official website and submit it before the deadline with all the necessary documents.


Award and Deadline

The scholarship is providing $5000 to the students who maintain a minimum certain grades.

Students who want to apply for this scholarship should submit the application no later than 16th June 2017.

 


Eligibility Criteria

  • A student must attend a university, a four-year college or two-year college

  • A student should be U.S Citizen and study full-time in an accredited HBCU.

  • A student should have at least a 2.8-grade point average out of 4 to be eligible for the scholarship.

  • The scholarship is restricted to students majoring in Accounting, Business/Consumer Services, Food Service/Hospitality, Hospitality Management, Marketing
