About the Scholarship
Nebraska Elks Association Vocational Scholarship is awarded to the students who plan to pursue 2-year vocational studies at any community college in the state or any other programs.
Students are provided the scholarship by the Nebraska State Elks Association based on their financial state. The applicant must demonstrate that the family income is lesser than the scholarship amount.
The scholarship is awarded to Nebraska high school seniors who are intending to pursue a 2-year program at an eligible educational institution.

The scholarship is granted solely based on the financial need demonstrated by the student and the essay submitted.
Therefore, the scholarship amount may vary from recipient to recipient.
Nebraska Elks Association Vocational Scholarship Grant Application Requirements
The student must follow criteria to be an eligible participant of the scholarship program such as follows:
The applicant must be a Nebraska high school graduate.
The student must be enrolled or planning to enroll in a 2-year program vocational studies or any programs in a community college or other educational institutions.
The applicant must be a citizen or an eligible noncitizen of the United States.
The applicant must submit certain supporting documents along with the application form that is available on the official website of the association.
The required documents include:
The application form.
A statement of 200 words based on personal interests and achievements, and other plans for the future.
A letter from a parent or guardian of not more than 150 words describing the present situation of the family.
A short letter from a family acquaintance based on the student’s abilities and skills that could support the society as an educated citizen.
At least one test record among the standardized tests such as the ASVAB, SAT, ACT, PLAN and PSAT and grade records.
The application must not be more than 20 pages and should be stapled and submitted to the scholarship committee.
Nebraska Elks Association Vocational Scholarship Grant Application Deadline
The application must be submitted before 1st January. Late submissions of application will not be accepted.
Current high school seniors or the equivalent are eligible to apply.
Applicants need not be related to a member of the Elks.
Applicants must be citizens of the United States on the date their applications are signed, permanent legal resident status does not qualify.
