About the Scholarship
The Department of Education of the state of New Hampshire offers scholarship opportunities to the children of veterans who lost their lives fighting for the country where the students are able to receive proper postsecondary education without having to pay the tuition and fees.
New Hampshire Scholarships for Orphans of Veterans are awarded to students who are enrolled to or planning to enroll in a university or college in the University System and the Community College System of New Hampshire.
New Hampshire Scholarships for Orphans of Veterans Awards
The deserving recipients of the scholarship are relieved of the tuition and fees as it would be free for the children of the veterans who lost their lives in the line of wars.
The recipients are provided with a stipend of $2500 to meet the college costs that include room rents, books and supplies, and boards.
New Hampshire Scholarships for Orphans of Veterans Application
The applicant must be 16 to 25 years old.
The applicant must be the child of a veteran who deceased while on active service duty or due to an illness caused while in the line of duty.
The applicant must be enrolled to an eligible, accredited university or college for undergraduate or graduate degree program.
The application form must be completed with the required details and information about the applicant.
New Hampshire Scholarships for Orphans of Veterans Application Deadline
The applicants must submit the application and required materials to the financial aid department of the state government by 1st September without fail. Any applications received past the deadline is considered invalid.
Students falling under 16 and 25years who are residents of New Hampshire
Parent(s) of the student should also be a resident of New Hampshire at the time of tragedy.
Applicants must be veterans sons/daughters who lost their lives in wars or in a combat situation
