About the Scholarship

The New Jersey State Golf Association Caddie Scholarship is awarded to the students who have caddied at a participating club of NJSGA for two seasons at least to assist them financially while receiving higher education

The New Jersey State Golf Association (NJSGA) awards scholarships to students enrolled in a university, college or any educational institution accredited by the Department of Education of the United States for an undergraduate degree as full-time.


New Jersey State Golf Association Caddie Scholarship Awards

The association provides scholarships worth $3000 to around 200 students every year. The number of awards and the scholarship amount vary depending on the scholarship committee and the number of applicants.

The scholarship can be renewed by re-applying.


New Jersey State Golf Association Caddie Scholarship Application Requirements

The recipients of the scholarship are selected based on certain eligibility criteria such as:

  • The SAT and/ or ACT scores of the applicant.

  • The applicant must have good academic standing.

  • The applicant must demonstrate a financial need.

  • Overall community and leadership qualities.

  • The financial support from the Golf club of the program.

The application must consist of the following important resources:

  • The completed the application form and attested by the Caddie Master of the golf club.

  • The applicant’s parents or guardian must fill in their portion in the application form and attach the required documents mentioned.

  • The records of SAT and ACT scores, and a copy of high school or college transcript including the GPA scores.


New Jersey State Golf Association Caddie Scholarship Application Deadline

The application process must be completed by the student before March 1st. Applications received past the deadline are considered invalid.


Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicants must have expertise in the field of being a caddie

  • Applicants must show a true need for financial assistance 

  • Leadership qualities and attributes of character preferred

  • Applicants should provide SAT scores
