About the Scholarship

High school students of the state of New Mexico who are living in a manufactured or mobile home are provided with financial assistance through the New Mexico Manufactured Housing Association Scholarship program.

The scholarship program funded and managed by the Albuquerque Community Foundation combining with the New Mexico Manufactured Housing Association provides the financial support required by the students while pursuing postsecondary education.


New Mexico Manufactured Housing Association Scholarship Awards

  • The association offers the scholarship program to 2 eligible students worth around $1000-$1500 per year.

  • The scholarship amount can be used to fund the tuition and fees and other college costs the students have to pay.


New Mexico Manufactured Housing Association Scholarship Application Requirements

  • The applicant must be living in a mobile or manufactured home.

  • The applicant must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better.

  • The student must be enrolled in a 2-year or 4-year, public or non-profit university or college as full-time.

A written statement of the financial need of the student and the following documents must be submitted along with application form.

  • An essay based on career goals.

  • Proof of residency of the student in a manufactured or mobile home.

  • A reference letter from a counselor or a teacher.


New Mexico Manufactured Housing Association Scholarship Application Deadline

The application for the scholarship must be submitted by 16th March without fail. The students are expected to submit the application on time to be eligible participants of the scholarship programs.


Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicant must live in a mobile/manufactured home

  • Applicant must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above

  • Candidate to attend a 2 or 4 year nonprofit or public educational institution or university full time

  • An essay stating career goals

  • A written statement of financial need.
