About the Scholarship
The New Mexico State Student Incentive Grants are awarded to the residents of the state of New Mexico based on their financial need by the Higher Education Department of the state of New Mexico.
The grants are offered to students who are enrolled in a public university, college or tribal college for undergraduate degree programs.

The eligible recipients of the grants receive around $200 to $2500 annually to meet the educational expenses while pursuing an undergraduate degree.
The grant is awarded for a period of one year and can be renewed annually until the recipient graduates from an approved educational institution with a bachelor’s degree.

The recipients of the grant program are selected based on different criteria as per the institution the student is enrolled in. The basic requirements are as follows:
The applicant must be a resident of New Mexico.
The student must be enrolled as full-time or half-time in an accredited university or college for an undergraduate degree program in the state of New Mexico.
The applicant must demonstrate financial need.
The applicant must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
