About the Scholarship
New York Farm Bureau AG Youth Scholarship was established and is sponsored by the Farm Bureau New York Organization which is available to the graduating high school seniors of New York.
The students must continue their education to prepare for a career in the diverse agricultural industry. In order to receive this fund, Applicants must live or work on a farm or be involved with agriculture via any avenue.
Applicants must submit the completed application packets to the New York Farm Bureau before the given deadline date.
An applicant must write an essay in 300-500 words on the topic "Discuss an issue facing agriculture in your county. How do you think NYFB can support members who may deal with this issue?
Candidates must provide information about his/her farming or agricultural experience and involvement in agriculture and community services.
In addition to the above transcripts, the Family Farm Bureau membership or student Farm Bureau membership and letters of recommendation from his/her faculty members is required.
The judging event may necessitate a personal interview and essay presentation or may be based solely upon the application and attachments.
Award Amount and Deadline
The scholarship award amounts to $1000, $1200 and $1500 to any number of eligible applicants per academic year.
All the above-mentioned documents along with the application must be sent to the financial aid department of the organization no later than March 01, 2020 to be one among the eligible applicants to receive the scholarship. Any delay in submitting an application would lead to disqualification.
Students applying must have a family Farm Bureau membership or a Student Farm Bureau membership.
The students must be graduating High School Seniors who will continue their education to prepare for a career in some way connected to the diverse agricultural industry.
The applicant must live or work on a farm or be involved with agriculture via any avenue.
