About the Scholarship

The New York Water Environment Association (NYWEA) offers scholarships to high school senior students who are planning to enroll in a university or college.

The New York Water Environment Association Scholarships are awarded to students who are intending to pursue a career in the field related to environmental issues.


New York Water Environment Association Scholarships Awards

The association provides a scholarship amount of $10000 to recipients who are enrolled in the eligible field of study.


New York Water Environment Association Scholarships Application Requirements

The applicant must submit the following documents to the scholarship committee of the association to be considered:

  • The application form filled in with accurate details, which is available on the official website of the association.

  • A scanned copy of an unofficial transcript.

  • Two letters of recommendation from a teacher or counselor, and a non-relative of the applicant which are to be sent directly.


New York Water Environment Association Scholarships Application Deadlines

The online application must be submitted by 28th February. Any submission of the application or other documents past the deadline is considered invalid.


Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicant should be a high school graduate

  • Applicant must be a New York state resident

  • Applicant should be enrolled full-time in a B.S. or B.E. degree program with an environmental emphasis.
