About the Scholarship

NYS Regents Awards for Children of Deceased and Disabled Veterans

NYS Regents Awards for Children of Deceased and Disabled Veterans, the main purpose of this program provide financial help to those candidates whose parents served in the U.S.Armed Forces.The amount is $450 provided by this program to all those students whose parent was contributed for the nation and who avail all the requirement of this scholarship.

How to apply for this scholarship -

Students must fill the Children of Veterans Award Web supplement, after completing the form students need to take print of the web supplement confirmation, students have to submit all the required documents.

After completing web supplement students have to complete FASFA application and apply for the TAP. all the application will be available on the website.

The deadline for this program is June 30, students make sure after the deadline they can not submit the form.

Eligibility Criteria

  • The students whose parent(s) served in the U.S. Armed Forces during specified periods of war or national emergency and, as a result of service, died, suffered a 40% or more disability, was classified as missing in action, or was a prisoner of war are eligible to apply.

  • The veteran must currently be a New York State resident or have been a New York State resident at the time of death.

  • The applicant must be pursuing an approved undergraduate degree at a college or university located in NYS.
