About the Scholarship
This scholarship is given by the organization parents, Families & Friends of Lesbians & Gays (PFLAG). This scholarship program is to give the award to the students who help to fulfil PFLAG’s missions of support, education and advocacy. This scholarship is started in 1992. This PFLAG has awarded to the talented and deserving gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and straight-supportive college students.
How to apply for the scholarship?
The candidate can apply through online on Cincinnati Chapter of Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG) website.
The candidate has to submit short answer responses.
The candidate has to complete the FAFSA application.
The candidate has to submit ACT/SAT scorecard.
The candidate has to submit an essay on personal details, career plan and reasons for applying for this scholarship.
The candidate has to submit official copies of transcripts from the most recent educational institution attended.
The candidate must have to submit two letters of reference from individuals who are familiar with the applicant's community service efforts.
The awarded amount of the scholarship:
The awarded amount for this scholarship is $1000 per year.
This award is non-renewable and the number of this award given to the candidates per year is five.
Deadline for the scholarship:
The deadline for this scholarship is the 19th of April.
An applicant must be residing or must be attending college or university in the Cincinnati area.
This scholarship is awarded only to the talented gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and straight supportive students.
A student must be a high school senior or a UG student at the time of application.
