About the Scholarship
PFLAG Jacksonville Chapter Scholarship Award is awarded by Parents, Families & Friends of Lesbians & Gays (PFLAG). The organization was found in 1973, PFLAG was the first and largest organization for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ+) people, their parents and families, and allies. The main aim of this foundation is to bring equality among each other and accepted in their communities.
What are the basic requirements needed to apply for this scholarship?
Students applying for this scholarship grant must have to be completed their FAFSA application.
Students must submit their official or unofficial transcript from their school and a 3 letter of recommendation.
A short essay must be given based on the application.

Selected students will receive $2000 annually which is nonrenewable.
The number of awards offered by this scholarship varies depending on the available funds.
The scholarship application and required applications must be submitted by the end of June 01, 2020. Applications and other informations can be found on the official website of Parents, Families & Friends of Lesbians & Gays (PFLAG) Jacksonville.
Recipients will also be required to submit a short essay or video describing the experience of being a PFLAG scholar.
Application Preference will be given to applicants who have not previously received a PFLAG scholarship award.
