About the Scholarship
Platt Family Scholarship Prize Essay Contest was started by Lincoln Forum. This is basically a group of people who share an exact same interest in the life and time of the Abraham Lincoln era.
This scholarship award is provided to the full-time U.G students of any American college or university. The scholarship prize money is designed as a reward for the good academic performance of a student.
How to Apply for Scholarship?
There is no dedicated application form to be filled for the contest. The essay and an applicant's contact information serve as application.
Students must submit an essay in around 1,500 to 5,000 words addressing the current year's topic. Further details on the topic are available on the Lincoln Forum website.
Essays must be typed and must include works cited and/or bibliography page.
Candidates must also include his/her personal information with his/her essay.
Candidates must mention the name of their college or university with their entry and contact information.
The Scholarship award is categorized into three awards:
The organization is giving $1500 for those who secured the 1st Prize, $750 for the 2nd position and $500 for the 3rd position.
All the necessary documents and essays must be presented to the concerned department no later 31th July. Any essay submitted post deadline will be disqualified and won't be considered for any valuation.
The candidate has to be a full-time undergraduate and be able to take up a scholarship essay contest.
An applicant should be from any recognized American college or university for a full-time program.
Must attend a U.S. college or university during the time of selection.
Candidates must be enrolled as an undergraduate student in the spring semester.
