About the Scholarship

The scholarship is awarded by the Society of Women Engineers, a nonprofit organization that gives women engineers a voice within the engineering industry. They've set their mission to empower women to achieve full potential in careers as engineers and leaders and to demonstrate the value of diversity and inclusion. The applicants shouldn't be receiving funding for education from any other organization. The applicant must plan to enroll in an ABET-accredited computer science or engineering program.


How to apply for the scholarship?

  • The applicants should complete the application which can be found on the Society of Women Engineers site.

  • The applicant will be considered for all the eligible scholarships with one scholarship.

  • Along with the application, the applicant should submit official academic transcripts, acceptance letter to an ABET-accredited college or university, a resume, two recommendation letters, and FAFSA.


Award Amount

  • The award amounts to $2,500 yearly and is non-renewable.

  • Two awards are offered yearly.

The deadline date for the submissions is set for February 15


Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicants must be sophomores who are majoring in computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, engineering technology, industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering or software engineering.

  • A student must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.

  • A student must demonstrate leadership ability.
