About the Scholarship

The San Manuel Band of Mission Indians is proud to support events, activities, and projects through sponsorship relationships that promote community, culture, education and other community-oriented endeavors. The scholarship is awarded to the applicant who is a registered member of a federal or state-recognized tribe or a descendant of at least one grandparent or parent who is an enrolled tribal member. The candidate must be a freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior studying at an accredited Tribal University.


How to Apply for this Award?

  • In order to receive and fill the online scholarship application, An applicant must create an account with username and password.

  • In addition to that, an applicant must demonstrate the financial status of his/her family.

  • An applicant must provide the official transcripts of college or institution.

  • Also, an applicant must give an official scorecard of the ACT/SAT to determine academic eligibility.


Award Amount and Deadline:

The Organization is funding $1000 to eligible applicants per academic year.

The scholarship deadline is on 31st May 2019.

 


Eligibility Criteria

  • The applicant must be a citizen or an eligible noncitizen of the U.S.

  • The applicant must be enrolled in an accredited tribal university or college.

  • The applicant must be a registered member of a federal or state recognized tribe or a descendant of at least one grandparent or parent who is an enrolled tribal member.

  • The applicant must be a freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior in college.

  • The applicant must have a minimum GPA of 2.0 or better.
