About the Scholarship

Santa Rosa Ninety-Nines International Organization of women pilots sponsoring this Aviation Scholarship to a local woman pilot. The purpose of this scholarship is to provide funds to be used for a certificate in flight training and/or continuing education in the field of aviation. A student who is under a great economical burden can get assisted by this award to further their education. A candidate is also required to be good at academic results. The fund amount covers academic tuition, fees for technical schools or flight training expenses.

How to Apply for this scholarship?

  • The scholarship application must be completed in full in order to receive this fund.

  • All applications must be postmarked by midnight on June 15th.

  • A student must write an essay that must include Aviation activities he/she has participated in..

  • Also, an applicant must give a letter of recommendation, academic and professional records.

  • Commitment to the field of aviation as described in personal essay and recommendations.

  • A student must demonstrate financial need with respect to receiving the award.

Award Amount and Deadline:

The Foundation is providing $3000 to the number of eligible applicants annually.

The scholarship deadline is on 15th June 2020. All applicants must apply for this award before the deadline.

Eligibility Criteria

  • The applicant must be a woman pilot with a current private license, a current medical, and a current flight review.

  • The applicant must be planning to pursue a career in an area of aviation with flight training or education.

  • The applicant must be a resident of the Charles M. Schulz Sonoma County Airport in Santa Rosa, CA within 150 miles.

  • The applicant must be eligible for the rating being applied for and have completed written requirements for the rating before scholarship funds are dispersed.

  • The applicant must be at least 17 years old.

  • The applicant can be a Ninety-Nines or a Santa Rosa Chapter member.
