About the Scholarship

Scarlett Family Foundation Scholarship is sponsored and is monitored by the Scarlett Family Foundation. Joe and Dorothy Scarlett started this financial assistance program in the year 2005 to give merit and need-based school grants to Middle Tennessee students seeking after their business degrees. 

The foundation was begun to advocate, contribute, and work to guarantee that all understudies in Middle Tennessee to approach high-quality education medium and assist students financially to help pay them for the education of their dream.


How to apply for this scholarship award?

  • The applicant must submit their official school transcript along with their official test scores to prove that their academic performance is well maintained to receive the scholarship amount.

  • A copy of the parents/legal guardian's most recent tax returns must be submitted by the candidates applying for this grant.

  • An essay of 500 words is to be submitted describing why he/she wants to be a business leader.  

  • In addition, candidates are also informed to present their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) application form to determine what a student's family is capable of doing for an individual's education.


Scholarship Award Amounts

  • This scholarship award ranges from $2500 to $15000 depending on the applicant's financial need and academic excellence.

  • The awards are renewable if candidates maintain their academic performance.

  • The total number of awards offered by this scholarship varies each year depending on the availability of funds.


Deadline Information

All the above-mentioned documents and forms must be sent to the concerned department of the foundation no later than December 15, 2020, to receive the scholarship fund. Students are advised to send all the documents before the deadline to receive the scholarship fund.


Eligibility Criteria

  • The applicant must be enrolled in an accredited four-year, non-profit university or college as a full-time student to pursue a degree program in business or a STEM approved degree program.

  • The applicant must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or more.

  • The applicant must demonstrate financial need.
