About the Scholarship
The scholarship is awarded by the Greater Kansas City Community Foundation, one of the most well-respected leaders on charitable giving in the country. Their mission is to improve the quality of life in Greater Kansas City by increasing charitable giving and connecting donors to community needs that they care about. GKCF has provided more than $4billion in grants since it's inception. This scholarship is intended to honor the memory of Sean Callahan by helping out high school and junior college football players who plan to play at a higher level.
How to apply for the scholarship?
- The applicant should complete the application on the GKCCF site.
- Along with the application, the applicant must also submit two recommendation letters, verification of acceptance to an accredited college or university, and FAFSA.
How much the scholarship award amounts to?
- The award amounts to $2,000 per year and is non-renewable.
One award is offered per year.
The deadline date is set for March 01, 2020
To be eligible for the scholarship, a student must be a senior at Gardner Edgerton High School or attend Garden City Community College.
The applicant must maintain a 2.5 GPA out of 4 to be eligible for the scholarship.
