About the Scholarship
The Foundation’s student aid program has begun in 1923, the Serena D. Dalton Scholarship is awarded to the students who are in great need of finance to advance their academic study. Scholarship funds help to support students in a wide range of areas, helping pave the way to higher education. The scholarships award amount can cover will be the cost of undergraduate tuition, fees, room and board, and other college expenses.
How to Apply for this Scholarship?
In order to apply for this scholarship award, an applicant must access and complete the online application form by creating the account with username and password.
The scholarship is need-based, hence a student must validate a need for financial assistance that they are facing in order to pursue the academic study.
An applicant is also required to demonstrate academic ability by submitting the ACT/SAT grade cards.
A student must submit his/her parent's federal tax return, a copy of the Student Aid Report (SAR) if he/she has applied for federal financial aid, and a copy of his/her financial aid award letter.
Award Amount and Deadline:
The scholarship award amount is $1767 given to any number of eligible applicants.
All scholarship applications and official transcripts are postmarked by July 31st, 2019.
The applicant must be a resident of Forsyth County, North Carolina.
Must have a cumulative GPA of 2.0.
A student must demonstrate financial need.
In order to be eligible to apply for financial aid from the Foundation, 50 percent or more of the student's college courses must be taken in a traditional classroom setting.
Must be enrolled in six or more credit hours each semester.
Must have a family adjusted gross income of up to 300 percent above the federal poverty guidelines.
